Houston area indie rock band Junebird was formed by Steve Tagliere and Jason Bonilla in 2021. Introduced to each other by their teenage sons, Steve and Jason met and realized they shared similar musical tastes (Sparklehorse, The Replacements, Son Volt, Tom Waits, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Wipers, Black Flag, to name a few) and are both diehard Dodger fans who grew up in southern CA before ending up in TX; a friendship was formed and Junebird was created. Prior to Junebird, Steve played and toured extensively in the 90s with alt rock band Gingersol and Jason jumped around onstage in punk bands in Bakersfield. As Junebird, they released their first album in June 2022 with all instruments played by Steve and Jason. They rounded out their lineup with Earl Bounsall on bass and Dusty B. on drums.

Junebird has just completed its second album and is in the process of having it mastered. A release date will be announced soon.  When not Junebirding, Steve releases solo albums under his name, Jason birds along the Texas Gulf Coast, Earl plays bass in The Last Dance - A Tribute to Tom Petty, and Dusty B. is an International Man of Mystery.
